What
is Supply Chain Alignment?
It is the process of aligning the Seven S's ...
Structure + Strategy +
System + Staff +
Style + Skills +
Shared Value within the enterprise and its stakeholders to create a
robust network of strategic supply chain partners to enhance business
efficiency, business success and sustainable growth by delivering
What Customers' Want! at the lowest sustainable operating cost
and risk to the enterprise.
Example
includes;
Lean Manufacturing: Optimized sales
and operation planning by managing product life cycles and delivering
to schedule and to cost. This was archived by taking a historic and
holistic approach to contract negotiation, demand planning. After review
and alignment of supply and demand (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly,
yearly) to supplier contracts, scheduling, sales forecast, demand
trends, lead times and stock safety levels (Kanban) across the key areas
of flow [product, finance, technology and logistics], we delivered sustainable
gains of more than 60%.
Warehousing & Logistics: By
analysing and aligning demand cycles / profiles to SKU levels across
the categories to delivery lead time - we reduced total cost of ownership
(TCO) by re-aligning warehouse logistics and simplifying material /
finish goods flow throughout the supply chain - and reduced distribution
cost by 40%.
Optimization: Optimized B2B/B2C
sales and services by establishing demand profiles. Through RFx,
we consolidated and automated regional orders/sales based on regional
suppliers and inventory levels. We also addressed product life cycles
and simplified order process and backorder fulfilment (document + product
management). In addtion, we introduced drop shipment, "alternative"
product options and service fulfilment points. Through these actions,
we reduced operation cost by more than 65% and increased customer service
levels to more than 300%.

Business
Continuity Planning
("BCP")
|
"The
purpose of developing a Business Continuity Plan ("BCP")
is to ensure the continuation of a business during and following
any critical incident that results in disruption to the normal
operational capability".
The Iceland volcanic activity in early 2010 is another example
of a 'critical incident' which highlighted supply chain vulnerability
on a global scale. Other critical incidents include floods, fires,
droughts, oil spills, pandemics, terrorism... although may not
be local incident to a business - by ripple effect -will impact
upon a business. As a result, such incidents is likely to have
a sliding scale of effect [minor to catastrophic] against a business.
These include, but not limited to direct cost increases, loss
in sales/revenue, indirect cost increases and major disruption
to a business and it's supply chain.
- As a supply chain consultant, I can assist your business in
identifying supply chain vulnerabilities within your
supply chain network and put into place processors to remove and/or
mitigate likely lost and disruptions.

Business Process Management
("BPM")
Business
Process Outsourcing
("BPO")
|
For
effective Business Process Management ("BPM"), management
must take a holistic approach to establish the context, the strategy
and the tactical approach to align all aspects of the business
with the wants and needs of it's clients (stakeholders).
What should be noted is that - Business Process Management, Dynamic
Supply Chain Management (DSCM) and Enterprise Risk Management
(ERM) - all have ONE thing in common! - they are "management
process that cuts right across the entire enterprise to provide
a logical and evolving structure. It is a structure that links
all the components within an enterprise in a compelling way to
form an integrated whole". re: [Logic
@ Work]
- As a BMP / BPO practitioner, I can assist your business to archive
this outcome. |

Contract Negotiation and
Due-Diligence |
As
with selling (sales) not everybody is good at it. From my experience,
most executives will shy away from effective negotiation. Some
think, a negotiation is a confrontation that will harm the relationship.
Others think it’s simply better to get on with the business
and only worry about things when they go wrong. However, effective
negotiation and due-diligence is the key foundation on which the
bushiness will rest its Sales and Operation Planes, its Demand
Plans, its Business Continuity Plans, its Lean Manufacturing Plans
... to name a few.
- With extensive commercial expertise in this field, I can assist
your business with its negotiations, undertake
due-diligence,
review current contracts and its compliance, prepare draft contracts
and to bring about formal agreements. |
|
Demand Planning
("DP")
|
Simply
put, "there is only three things to demand planning -
What, When and Where". To manage Demand Planning (DP)
and recurring process of supply and demand, I take a holistic
approach to address Order & Sales, Inventory Planning
and Optimization.
- As a practitioner of Dynamic Supply Chain Alignment (DSCA) and
Business Continuity Planning (BCP), I can
assist your business to determine demand, to optimize processors,
to reduce waste, to deliver what customer
what and to maximize returns on revenue. |
|
Dynamic Supply Chain Alignment
("DSCA")
|
Dynamic Supply Chain Alignment (DSCA) is the process of aligning
the Seven S's [Structure + Strategy + System + Staff + Style +
Skills + Shared Value] within the enterprise and its stakeholders
to create a robust network of suppliers and retailers to enhance
business efficiency, business success and sustainable growth.
As the mind set of DSCA's is based on "Delivering What Customers
Want" - the process weighs suppliers, retailers and the end-customers
as part of the flow - to identify opportunities, to measure and
consider internal and external risk, to create greater value and
to enhance the relationship at each intersection to insure business
continuity, business success, sustainable growth and expansion.
- As a DSCA practitioner, I can assist your business to archive
this outcome. |

Enterprise
Blitz
("EB") |

business practices, to enhance productivity and to create a culture

global market. |
|
Enterprise Risk Management
("ERM")
Standard: AS/NZS 4360:2004
NEW: AS/NZS ISO 31000:2009 |
Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) is the risk management process
that cuts right across the entire enterprise to provide a logical
and evolving structure. It is a structure that links all the components
within an enterprise in a compelling way to form an integrated
whole. The HERM Logic ERM process includes consultation with all
internal and external stakeholders to developing the 'Risk Matrix'
and the 'Hierarchy of Controls' to manage, remove and mitigate
risk.
- As a ERM practitioner, I can assist your business to develop
and maintain an evolving ERM program. |
|
Expert Opinion Services
("EOS")
Accreditation by University of New South Wales (UNSW Global Solutions
and EOS) |
As
an Expert Opinion Service (EOS) provider, it is my duty to assist
the trier of facts to a Judge, Magistrate, Tribunal and Jury to
understand and draw conclusions about the meaning of evidence
which is too complex to be understood by the layperson. As an
ESO provider, I offer help by my written and spoken evidences.
This is based on review and/or investigation. Based on my expertise,
the evidence that I provide will be about facts, about methods
of analysis, and about
opinions, which can be reasonably expressed from those facts and
analysis. |
|
Lean (Kaizen) Management and Manufacturing
("LMM")
Business
Process Outsourcing
("BPO") |
Going
"Lean" does not mean running down inventory to critical
levels. Lean is FIRST and foremost a holistic attitude to Lean.
SECONDLY, it is strategy and a tactical process that seeks to
deliver high levels of throughput with minimum amounts of waste
and inventory in the process. Lean must also incorporate the business
processors of Business Process Management (BPM), Dynamic Supply
Chain Management (DSCM) and Enterprise Risk Management
(ERM) for it to be robust.
Lean management is about aligning the people, the technology,
the know-how within the business to address industrial challengers,
reducing waste, maximizing productivity, mitigating risk and faster
response time to market demands / trends - and to maximize returns
on investment including revenue. Finally, "Lean" is
not limited to manufacturing. Lean can be applied across all industries
and business size... down to the corner store.
- With over 25 years of hands-on expertise, I can assist your
business to archive this outcome. |
|
Project Management
("PM")
include Start-Ups,
Greenfield, Event Management and Business Re-Location |
As
a Project Manager ("PM") with national and international
expertise across multiple industries and markets, I have managed
projects ranging in value from <$30,K to $100,Million>.
As PM, my professional responsibility is to my stakeholders including
customers, the performing organizations, and the public. Within
this framework, I have carefully planned and organized efforts
to deliver specific outcomes on time and within budget. On some
instances, I have delivered outcomes that surpass expectation,
under budget and recovered written-off cost and advance payments
made to under performing 3rd party contractors.
- re:[Customer Testimonials] |
|
Sales & Operation Planning
("S&OP")
|
Sales and Operation Planning (S&OP) is the critical process
by which management proactively communicates, coordinates, integrates
and provides the direction for planning the volume, rate and mix
of projected demand and supply. S&OP firmly links the annual
financial plan with executable sales, production and inventory
plans expressed in units by product families. By approving the
S&OP, top management sets the numbers, resolves conflicts
and synchronizes a direction for all functions.
- As a practitioner of Dynamic Supply Chain Alignment (DSCA),
I can assist your business to determine demand, to optimize processors,
to reduce waste, to deliver what customer what and to maximize
returns on revenue.

Sourcing, Outsourcing and
Tendering RFx;
- RFI:
Request for Information
- RFP: Request for Proposal
- RFQ: Request for Quote, and
-
Reverse Auction
|
Many
organizations have developed and executed successful strategic
sourcing programs with significant results. All too often however,
the likely risk are not identified and the savings are not captured
- or cannot be tracked back to the P&L. The challenge is to
(i) consider the risk [R= Σ
F(CP)]
associated with sourcing / outsourcing / tendering; and (ii) convert
the results achieved to real savings that are captured and sustained
as part of “business as usual” process.
As a procurement specialist, I have extensive strategic and hands-on
experience with direct and indirect sourcing, outsourcing and
category management - across multiple industries and markets.
As such, I understand the challenges associated with converting
negotiated savings into realized savings. The strategic and tactical
process I provide will have rigor and discipline to handle key
sourcing decisions such as - Outsourcing; Low Cost Country
Sourcing (LCCS); Accelerated Sourcing; Collaborative
Sourcing and Tendering - while reducing cost across
all categories and related expense accounts.
